Royal Caribbean Takes Delivery of Icon of the Seas, Now the World's Largest Cruise Ship
Royal Caribbean International has officially taken delivery of the Wonder of the Seas, which is set to debut in March from Fort Lauderdale and in May from Barcelona. The ship is now the largest cruise ship in the world, surpassing its sister ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas.
Eight Distinct Neighborhoods
One of the most striking features of the Wonder of the Seas is its eight distinct neighborhoods. These neighborhoods offer a variety of dining, entertainment, and activity options to cater to every passenger's preferences. The neighborhoods include:

- Royal Promenade
- Entertainment Place
- Youth Zone
- Vitality Spa and Fitness Center
- Perfect Day at CocoCay

World's First Ultimate Abyss Dry Slide

Largest Cruise Ship in the World
With a gross tonnage of 236,857 and a passenger capacity of 6,988, the Wonder of the Seas is the largest cruise ship in the world. It is nearly 1,200 feet long and 210 feet wide, making it taller than the Statue of Liberty and longer than three football fields.
Debut and Itineraries
The Wonder of the Seas will debut in March 2022 with a series of cruises from Fort Lauderdale to the Caribbean. In May 2022, the ship will reposition to Barcelona and begin offering Mediterranean cruises. The Wonder of the Seas will be the first cruise ship to sail from Barcelona all year round.
