BMW Considers Potential Applications in Vehicle Assembly
BMW is experimenting with the deployment of humanoid robots in its factories to aid in the assembly of vehicles. The company has been testing Figure 02, a cutting-edge humanoid robot, at its Spartanburg plant in South Carolina.
BMW has not yet established a definitive timeline for the widespread use of humanoid robots. Meanwhile, Tesla aims to introduce its own bipedal robot into its production line next year. According to Figure 02's developer, the California-based company, it is the world's most advanced humanoid robot.
Ars Technica quotes an anonymous reader, stating that BMW's testing is ongoing, and no definite plans have been made regarding the future use of humanoid robots in the Spartanburg plant.
