Kashmir has witnessed unprecedented development in sectors like infrastructure, education, healthcare, and technological advancements. With an aim to bring the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to the forefront of nation-building, the Government of India has initiated several schemes and programs to empower them.

One such initiative is the "Skill India Mission," which aims to provide youth with industry-relevant skills and training in order to make them employable. The mission has established 15 skill development centers across Jammu and Kashmir, offering courses in various sectors such as hospitality, tourism, healthcare, and IT.

Another significant program is the "Startup India" initiative, which provides funding, mentorship, and incubation support to young entrepreneurs. Several startups from Jammu and Kashmir have received funding under this scheme and are now successfully operating in various sectors.

The Government of India has also established the "Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute" (JKEDI) to promote entrepreneurship among the youth of the region. JKEDI provides training, mentorship, and financial assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs.

In addition to these initiatives, the Government of India has also launched the "Prime Minister's Employment Generation Program" (PMEGP) in Jammu and Kashmir. PMEGP provides loans to unemployed youth to help them start their own businesses.
